'To photograph life at its most intense is to offer an empty shell, but to photograph the wrappings or the tinsel is to evoke flames.' Bernard Faucon. Scotia completed her Masters in Photography at London College of Printing in 2003. Her images have appeared in a selection of publications such as Kilimanjaro, Pictured, Creative Review, and Chance: a curatorial exercise. A primary concern of her work is exploring various interpretations of portraiture, particularly looking at people in relation to their environment with regards to issues around identity, belonging, and locality.? She is based in London where she shows regularly in group shows and contributes to Millennium Images. Millennium Images
