I am interested in the photographic image as an indicator of a contemporary reading and understanding of society. Jean Baudrillard says: "To take photographs is not to take the world for an object, but to make it an object." The photograph's ability to create the world we inhabit is most probably the biggest and most important cultural intervention in recent history. My work is based on the photographic reading and construction of 'the real'. I am using the camera as either a tool to collect and re-contextualize places, objects and situations, or as a tool to record my own interference and creations.
